Michael has several different types of Sound Bath. including this, his Premiere Event at the Quaker Meeting House, Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. You will find us on the first floor of this fantastic building, which occupies the full width of the house giving us a spacious, comfortable venue. There is a lift and toilet on both floors. It has its own car park to the rear of the house, as well as several other car parks close by. It is available on the last Sunday of every month (except December) Tickets are £15 each and you can either pay in advance or choose to pay on the door when you arrive. If you pay in advance, then have to cancel nearer the time he will offer you a full refund or you can transfer to another of his events right up to the day before (on the Saturday).

Crystals + Reiki + Sound
Gongs are one of the oldest instruments on Earth, stretching back centuries. A Gong bath is an ancient type of sound therapy, but with no swimming or getting wet involved. The term bath relates to being immersed in sound waves. In this special session Using Intent Micheal skilfully blends Sound, Crystals and Reiki to provide a healing session like no other.
It is perfectly normal for your body temperature to drop during these sessions, but to maximise your experience warm loose fitting clothing is recommended, e.g. track suit, and if you have one please bring a yoga mat, or even a sleeping bag, with a blanket or throw to keep you warm and toasty, and of course this wouldn't be complete without a cushion for your head.
For those who don't have a yoga mat, sleeping bag, blanket or cushion, Micheal has several spare ones. The Quaker House has been our home for Gong Baths in Newcastle for Two years and is a very spiritual place, perfect for sound therapy events. For anyone with back problems or those preferring to sit, there are several large high backed comfortable armchairs available on request.
The only other thing you need to bring, is an open heart and a smile
Once comfortable, eyes are closed and for the first few minutes we practice abdominal belly breathing exercises, as used in many Qigong and Yoga classes. The deep breaths ensure we get plenty of fresh chi or energy into our bodies, while purging our ourselves of any stale stagnant negative energy or chi which can accumulate causing problems for the body. With the eyes closed and practicing the deep breathing this will take us into an alpha state and prepares our body for the high vibrations from the Gong.
"Slowing your breathing down is a free ticket to an altered state of consciousness" (williams C. New Scientist 22 may 2021 p.37).
"Our brain is basically a machine, and one task that uses a lot of energy is sight. hundreds of millions of neurons in our brain are solely devoted to vision, thats an estimated 30% of our brain matter. When you compare that to the 8% of our brain dedicated to touch, and 3% to taste you realise how much a drain our visual system is to the brain.
By closing our eyes we are freeing up almost a third of the brains energy". (Buckley M. PHd. Psychology today March 20 2019) Together with abdominal breathing and the eyes closed can in itself, take us into an Alpha state, or an altered state of consciousness.
You will be offered some crystals to hold throughout the session which are pre-charged with Reiki energy before Micheal begins playing the Gongs. The amazing sounds created by the gongs guide the mind and body into deeper levels of calm and relaxation The Sound produces vibrations and it is these healing vibrations which work to re-balance, renew, regenerate, revitalise and relax us on all levels, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. Science has discovered that when our vibrational rate drops, illness and disease can develop.
The combination of the Gongs, Reiki, Crystal energy all help to increase our vibrational rate. Once our bodies start vibrating at their optimal level or even higher our bodies have the ability, to heal ourselves right down to the cellular level, as well as becoming profoundly relaxed and feeling great and calm in the process.

- To increase our bodies frequency, where which can help reduce illness, and pain, while promoting wellbeing, relaxation and calm. A higher frequency also puts us in touch with our higher selves, and spirituality.
- The sound from the Gongs can help vibrate every single cell in your body back into balance by allowing the body to repair and renew each of those cells. Also sending love into our bodies from Reiki and Crystals has a huge beneficial effect on our bodies also.

All the benefits of meditation, with minimal effort by you
A Gong Bath offers all the benefits of meditation, but without the effort. Not everyone finds it enjoyable or easy to meditate and the appeal here for many people is there is literally nothing for you to do other than get comfortable, and take some deep breaths in and out before 'switching off’ and letting yourself go, and if you fall asleep it is still working for you, as the vibrations pass through our entire body, going into every single cell, gland, tissue, organ, and structure without the need of our hearing to do so. The sounds of the gongs are magical and haunting and help connect us to the universe, and the creator of all things.
Some people can experience an out of body experience, many will feel re-connected to the source of all life, while the majority will experience feelings of sheer bliss, peace, coupled with profound levels of calm and relaxation.
The combination of Reiki (Spiritual Energy), Crystals and Sound Waves is a very Special, unique, and extremely powerful experience. Coming from the creator of all things the Reiki brings an abundance of pure unconditional love and compassion. It is both intelligent and intuitive and will go exactly where your body / mind needs it the most, and in just the right amounts, with no risk of being given too much.
Everything that exists in the universe is constantly vibrating, walls, buildings, metal, plants, animals, and humans, right down to the cells in our body. Sound healing works by using the vibrations from the sound generated by the Gong, to help bring about calmness, relaxation and healing.
Gongs vibrate at the same frequency, or ‘resonance’, as the body’s cells, and the vibrations of the gong is a powerful method for reducing stress. An ocean of sound is created that engulfs everything in its path. A further benefit is that it activates the parasympathetic nervous system to bring the overtaxed, over burdened sympathetic nervous system back into balance.
Our bodies are some 70% water and this makes us brilliant conductors of healing vibrations. Crystal therapy and Reiki are also vibrational healing systems which integrate seamlessly with sound. The sound vibrations massage and stimulate us both inside and out. It is so special making it a totally immersive mind and body experience.
Michaea plays the gong with a variety of mallets, in a variety of ways to create therapeutic sound waves using an intuitive unstructured approach, creating a unique pallet of sound sensations, that will transport you to another dimension, unblock your energy and vibrate your body into a state of wellbeing, harmony and total calm.

As the session concludes, the benefits dont! Once the Gong bath has ended, Michael sets to work to send each attendee a distance Reiki and Crystal healing session starting the following day, each evening for 7 days, to further maximise the relaxation, calm and healing each person can receive. Crystals and Reiki coupled to Geometric Grids, together with Spiritual Intent provide the basis to achieve this. This is all included with the cost of your ticket.
